Waterway Plastics makes a large share of the plumbing inside modern spas and above-ground pools — jet bodies, unions, manifolds and wet ends. Its o-rings mostly live in the 805- series.

Where spa plumbing leaks
Pump and heater unions
Every serviceable component in a spa connects through threaded unions with an o-ring at each. They get disturbed during any service and are the most common leak in an equipment bay.
Waterway 805-0460 o-ring and 805-0252 center discharge o-ring are typical of the range.
Jet bodies
Jet internals seal against the body with o-rings that see constant heat and chemistry. Symptoms are usually damp insulation rather than a visible drip, because the leak is inside the cabinet.
The wet end
Waterway pump shaft seals, including the 319-3010/B FKM salt and ozone seal for salt and ozone systems, where standard nitrile does not survive. See saltwater and ozone seal failure.
Spa seals are consumables
Spa water runs at 100°F or more, continuously, with far higher chemical concentration per litre than a pool. Seals that would last years in a pool are annual or biennial items in a spa. Budget for them rather than being surprised.
When you open the cabinet
Replace every union o-ring you disturb rather than reusing it. They cost very little and you have already paid the real cost, which was getting the panel off.
Before you reassemble

Seat every o-ring with a thin film of food-grade silicone. Dry rings pinch and take a set. Aqua Flex Food Grade Silicone Lubricant is what ships in our kits.
O-rings only. Never lubricate the polished faces of a mechanical shaft seal.
