Berkeley and Pacific pumps turn up wherever water has to be moved in volume — agricultural irrigation, municipal transfer, industrial process, marine jet drives. They are built to last decades, which means most of the ones in service are older than their parts catalogues.
Berkeley: the S-series
Berkeley shaft seals carry numbers beginning S — S21961, S20794, S20994, S20788, S20789 and many more. We carry over sixty of them in direct-fit carbon/ceramic.

Berkeley is also a familiar name in jet drive boats, and those pumps use seals from the same family.
Pacific Pumping: mixed numbering
Pacific uses two number styles: long numeric strings such as 14010242 and 91909719, and short K-prefixed codes such as K101-1 and K102-1. Both appear in period documentation. We list over ninety.

Why these ranges are hard to source elsewhere
Industrial pump manufacturers get acquired, merged and discontinued. The pump keeps working long after the parts supply chain has reorganised around it. Our approach is to list by the original manufacturer's part number, so you can order from the number on your pump or in your maintenance records rather than trying to work out who owns the brand now.
We cover more than 330 pump brands this way — see the full cross-reference guide.
Before you fit the new one
Read the old seal. A chipped ceramic means it was pressed in cocked or the pump cavitated. A glazed carbon face means it ran dry. A swollen bellows means the elastomer is wrong for the fluid. Fitting a new seal without understanding the failure usually means doing it again.
Detail in why mechanical shaft seals fail.
Number not listed?
Send us the pump make, model and the number on the old seal. Obsolete industrial cross-referencing is most of what we do, and we would rather look it up than have you order twice.
Before you reassemble

Seat every o-ring with a thin film of food-grade silicone. Dry rings pinch and take a set — the usual reason a new seal weeps within a season. Aqua Flex Food Grade Silicone Lubricant is what ships in our kits.
O-rings only. Never lubricate the polished faces of a mechanical shaft seal.
